Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Intensive Care Unit, Simi Valley, California. Provides coordinated nursing care for assigned patients in accordance with established standards and the nursing process. The role includes patient assessment, care planning, interdisciplinary collaboration, delegation, patient education, discharge planning, and supervision of assigned nursing staff.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
  • Acute care facility experience.
• Additional Information:
  • Collects and analyzes patient data to identify diagnoses, care issues, and desired outcomes.
  • Develops, implements, and evaluates individualized care plans.
  • Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers to promote safe and effective care.
  • Provides health information and learning opportunities to patients, families, and care team members.
  • Participates in discharge planning to support continuity of care.
  • Delegates appropriately and coordinates the duties of healthcare team members.
  • One holiday off may be approved; availability to work the other holiday is required.
