Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN with CA licensure and 4 years of critical care experience for a 13-week assignment requiring floating across multiple units.

Details

• ICU setting within a hospital environment
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• 1:2 patient ratio
• Required to float to ICU, SDICU, Telemetry, and Med Surg units
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS (AHA), ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 4 years of ICU experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Skilled in IV therapy, central line/PICC line management, arterial line management, and blood product administration
• Experience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and respiratory care (BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, suctioning)
• Experience managing hemodynamic monitoring (CVP), cardiac drips, and dysrhythmia interpretation/management
• Experience with CRRT/CVVHD and acute/chronic renal failure management
• Experience with IV insulin protocols and continuous IV sedation/paralytics
• Experience with stroke management and neurological assessment
• 2 references obtained within the past year required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity ICU setting including cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, and renal cases
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius for consideration at the local rate
• Returning staff or travelers must have a minimum 1-year separation before reapplying
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
• Holiday coverage required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
• Must complete required lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
