Description

American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a 13-week assignment requiring at least 2 years of ICU experience and a CA RN license.

Details

• Work in the Intensive Care Unit of a hospital setting
• Day (3x12, 7:00-19:00) or Night (3x12, 19:00-7:00) shifts with occasional variable days to fill unit needs
• No same-week shift rotation required
• 1:2 patient ratio
• Care for respiratory/thoracic and ventilated patients, including chest tube insertion/removal assistance
• May float between sister facilities near the contracted site
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active CA RN license (Compact license must be in hand at submission)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (additional certifications preferred)
• Experience with CVICU, Neuro ICU, CVA/acute stroke management, hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, ICP monitoring, post-craniotomy, post-neurosurgery management, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury preferred
• 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years, may include Charge RNs/Leads
• Knowledge of infection prevention and isolation precautions/PPE

Additional Information

• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted up-front; limited flexibility for post-offer requests
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, or local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after 3 months, provided they live outside the 50-mile radius
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history with Providence facilities as permanent staff, travel contractor, or per-diem/registry
• Travel experience not required, depending on candidate's ICU tenure
• Direct contact with facility staff is not permitted outside of scheduled interviews arranged through American Traveler
