Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an IMC/PCU night shift position requiring current critical care and telemetry experience plus prior travel nursing experience.

Details

  • Work in the IMC/PCU unit of a hospital environment
  • 24-bed unit with an average daily census of 24 patients
  • Patient ratio of 1:4
  • Cares for patients requiring cardiac monitoring, telemetry, and stepdown-level care
  • Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
  • Uses Epic for charting
  • Floating required to other units and sister facilities within a 75-mile radius as needed
  • Block scheduling requests are not accommodated

Requirements

  • Active RN license (State or Compact) currently in hand
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required; EKG/Telemetry course also required
  • Minimum 2 years of recent critical care and telemetry experience required
  • Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required
  • Epic charting experience preferred
  • Teaching hospital and Trauma Level II experience preferred
  • Previous charge nurse experience preferred
  • Must provide a valid driver's license or state-issued ID
  • Must provide a utility bill in the traveler's name with an address matching the ID, dated within the last 3 months
  • Permanent address must be greater than 75 miles from the facility
  • Two supervisory references required

Additional Information

  • Provide nursing care for patients in an intermediate care/stepdown setting, including cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management
  • Skills utilized may include IV therapy, central and peripheral line care, respiratory support (BiPAP/CPAP, tracheostomy care), and wound care
  • Maximum RTO of 5 days per 13-week assignment, with no holiday RTO accepted
  • First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
  • Only local candidates residing beyond a 75-mile radius from the facility are eligible to apply
  • Previous INTEGRIS employees must have at least 1 year of separation from the health system to be eligible
  • Any gaps of 3 months or more in work history must be explained
