Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license; compact license must be in hand at submission
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience required
• Travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers are not accepted
• Epic charting experience required
• Current BLS, FHM, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications required
• ACLS preferred
• Strong experience with obstetrical care and high-risk deliveries
• Ability to provide two professional references covering the last year of experience
• Must be willing to float when needed based on skill set

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate patient care to laboring and preterm labor patients
• Assist with and circulate for C-sections, OB-GYN procedures, and related perioperative care
• Support high-risk antepartum, low-risk labor and delivery, triage, pre-op, and post-op patients
• Attend all deliveries, including high-risk deliveries
• Administer and monitor blood products, magnesium sulfate, insulin, heparin, and other ordered therapies
• Manage epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, drains, and wound vacs as indicated
• Perform maternal assessments, fetal monitoring support, and patient education
• Collaborate closely with physicians, OB providers, and the care team to promote positive outcomes for mothers and babies
