Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Department position located in Issaquah, Washington. This role involves providing specialized obstetric care in a dynamic healthcare environment. It requires a highly skilled professional prepared to attend high-risk deliveries, perform routine labor support, and utilize advanced equipment in a fast-paced setting.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts with 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week.
- Certifications required: BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate; ACLS preferred.
- Qualifications: 2 years of experience in labor and delivery, certification in ACLS (preferred), current valid license (compact license acceptable).
- Clinical experience: Administration of blood and blood products, anticoagulation therapy, assist with high-risk deliveries, circulate for C-section procedures, epidural and PCA pump management, wound care, medication administration including magnesium sulfate and heparin, use of specialized equipment and monitors, participation in all delivery types, and management of postpartum and antepartum care.
- Patient care responsibilities include assisting with GYN surgeries, managing low-risk antepartum and transition nursery, and attending high-risk deliveries.
- Float: Flexibility to float to postpartum and potentially labor and delivery units at neighboring facilities based on skill set.
- Additional notes: Candidates must be able to work 3 of the 5 major holidays and adhere to scheduling requests made during submission. Must include responses to pre-submission questions regarding prior work at a Providence facility and provide two recent references.
