Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a hospital position requiring 18 months of recent MS/Tele experience and an active Ohio or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Med/Surg Tele unit of a hospital environment
• Potential to float to units J1-2, J33 and the ED to care for the same patient population
• Rotating day/night shifts (3x12 hours), nights 7:00 PM-7:30 AM and days 7:00 AM-7:30 PM
• Shifts may be subject to change based on operational needs of the hospital
• Required to work at least every other holiday
• 20 and 13 week assignment lengths available for winter coverage

Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license or Compact RN license required in hand
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Minimum 18 months of combined permanent experience in the specialty required, preferably within one location
• Minimum 18 months of recent MS/Tele experience required (travel experience accepted)
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty required, from an assignment worked within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to a Med/Surg Tele patient population, including telemetry monitoring
• ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment completed during orientation, with a passing score required (maximum 2 attempts)
• Nurses are exempt from the facility's nicotine-free requirement
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to this health system for 1 year from their previous end date
• Assignments may extend up to 18 consecutive months, with a required 6-month break before returning unless otherwise approved
