Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN with 18 months of recent MS/Tele experience and required NIHSS certification for a hospital position offering winter coverage.

Details

• Med/Surg Tele unit within a hospital setting
• Potential to float to units J1-2, J33 and the ED to care for the same patient population
• Rotating day/night shifts (3x12 hours): nights 7:00 PM-7:30 AM and days 7:00 AM-7:30 PM
• Shifts may vary and rotate based on operational needs of the hospital
• Required to work at least every other holiday
• Opportunity to train in chemotherapy administration for qualified candidates

Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license or compact license required in hand
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 18 months of combined permanent experience in the specialty required
• Minimum 18 months of recent MS/Tele experience required, travel experience accepted
• One year of recent oncology/chemotherapy administration experience preferred but not required
• Must pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation

Additional Information

• Provide Med/Surg Tele nursing care with potential to float to additional units and the ED
• Experienced oncology nurses encouraged to apply, with training provided for chemotherapy administration
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Assignment length of 20 weeks for winter coverage, with 13-week assignments also considered
• Assignments may extend up to 18 months, with a required 6-month break before returning
• Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to this health system for 1 year from their previous end date
