Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical – Pocatello, ID 83201

Start Date: August 24, 2026

Location: Pocatello, Idaho

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00), with weekend coverage required (2 shifts per pay period, flexible with department needs). Patient ratio 1:6. Float required as long as competencies are met.

Highlights:

• 91-day travel assignment in a 48-bed medical surgical unit with diverse patient population
• Work with a wide range of patient diagnoses including sepsis, COPD, trauma, cardiac conditions, post-op care, and more
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Epic charting system with 24-36 hours of orientation provided
• Opportunity to utilize advanced skills including central line management, chest tubes, wound vac, tracheostomy care, and blood product administration
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations in a dynamic acute care environment

Requirements:

• Active RN license (state or compact license required at time of application)
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience preferred
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Experience with 1:6 patient ratios
• Must reside outside 100-mile radius from the location
• Ability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
• Core competencies and lab work must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
