Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neonatal ICU (NICU) position in Urbana, IL, requiring a minimum of 3 years of nursing experience and an active IL RN license.
Details
- Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hrs/week)
- Works in a hospital NICU setting
- Neonatal patient population, including monitoring intake/output and baby-friendly/breastfeeding care
- Epic EMR experience required
- Level 1 Trauma facility experience required
- 5 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
- Holiday coverage required on an every-other-holiday basis
- No on-call responsibilities
- No floating requirements
Requirements
- Active IL RN license in good standing required (temporary license accepted)
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Current NRP certification (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 3 years of relevant nursing experience
- ASN required; BSN preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include neonatal patient monitoring, medication administration via barcode scanning, breastfeeding initiation support, and documentation of nursing care
- Participates in multidisciplinary rounds and patient care communication
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract
- Candidates who have been on assignment with this health system for more than 1 year must take a 6-month break before returning to any of its locations
- Candidate selection involves a leader interview process
