Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced NICU RN for a night shift travel contract in Urbana, IL, requiring an IL RN license and Epic EMR experience.

Details

Position is in a Level 1 Trauma hospital NICU
Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
12-hour shifts with no on-call requirements
5 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
Holiday coverage required every other holiday
No floating requirements
Candidate interviews are conducted by the facility leader

Requirements

Active IL RN license in good standing required; temporary license accepted
Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
Current NRP certification (American Heart Association)
Minimum 1 year of NICU or relevant nursing experience required
Epic EMR experience required
Level 1 Trauma experience required
ASN required; BSN preferred
Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

Monitors intake and output for neonatal patient assignments
Supports breastfeeding initiation and baby-friendly care practices
Administers medications using barcode scanning technology
Participates in multi-disciplinary rounds and patient reporting
Maintains accurate nursing documentation to support the healthcare team
RTO not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment at this health system for more than 1 year; a 6-month break in service is required before returning after reaching the 1-year limit
