Certifications:
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS required
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS required
Must-Have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Description:
Deliver coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff.
Coordinate care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.
Collect relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
Analyze the assessment data in determining diagnosis and care issues.
Develop a care plan that prescribes interventions to attain desired outcomes.
Implement the plan, coordinate care delivery, and employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
Evaluate progress toward attaining outcomes.
Identify outcomes for the patient or the patient's situation.
Collaborate with the team of patient, family, and healthcare providers in providing patient care in a safe, healing environment.
Provide learning opportunities for patients and family members.
Directly provide health information to patients, families, and the treatment team.
Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
Delegate appropriately and coordinate duties of healthcare team members.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
