Job Title: Dialysis Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Dialysis Nurse Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Current WI License Certifications: AHA Provider level BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Education verification required prior to start. Description: We are seeking an experienced RN for an Inpatient Acute Dialysis unit. The nurse will utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients. They will administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, and standards of care. Documentation must be completed according to standards of care. The nurse will develop, initiate, and execute a patient plan of care according to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by a physician and/or hospital policy, including patient and family instruction. Participation in department or unit performance improvement activities may include shared governance. The nurse will utilize clinical expertise and guidance to support the patient’s longitudinal plan of care across other units/departments. Critical thinking related to patient safety and patient experience will be utilized, with appropriate escalation to the chain of command as needed. Scheduling includes 40 hours per week with every other weekend and rotating holidays. There is an on-call schedule split within the team, averaging 3-4 days per month and one weekend per month. Holiday coverage is required.
