Job Title: CVOR Nurse Educator Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Educator Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: 3-5 years of scrub and circulate experience is required. Previous travel experience is required. Experience in a larger program that handles transplants, VADs, heart failure, aortic work, and robotic procedures is preferred. License: Must have a current nursing license. Certifications: Current BLS certification required. Must-Have: Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential. Experience in creating competencies and knowledge of standards is required. Member of a relevant professional organization is preferred. Description: The CVOR Nurse Educator will assess educational needs and performance gaps. They will demonstrate effective teaching and presentation skills. The role requires developing targeted training programs and choosing effective teaching strategies. Direct observation of procedural skills will be implemented. The educator will evaluate learner performance and facilitate personalized instruction to address individual learner needs. Identifying learning styles of individual learners is crucial. Implementing appropriate teaching strategies will be a key responsibility. Knowledge of infection control practices is essential. Experience in providing clinical supervision and constructive feedback is required. The educator will promote improvement in nursing education and practice. It is necessary to provide a safe learning environment. Utilizing educational resources to meet learning objectives is important. Knowledge of regulatory requirements will be beneficial. The educator will integrate cultural competence into course design, teaching, and clinical practice.
