Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) - Travel

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Emergency Room Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Janesville, Wisconsin, with potential assignments at other Emergency Department locations within Janesville and Beloit. This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality, compassionate care to a diverse patient population presenting with acute illnesses and injuries in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will leverage their critical thinking skills and clinical expertise to perform comprehensive assessments, develop individualized plans of care, administer treatments, and collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and a positive patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize the nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation) to deliver comprehensive patient care.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, and state practice acts.
  • Accurately document all aspects of patient care, assessments, interventions, and outcomes according to established standards.
  • Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient plans of care, including patient and family education, as prescribed by physicians and clinic policy.
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity and coordination of care.
  • Utilize clinical expertise and provide guidance to other units/departments in support of the patient’s longitudinal plan of care.
  • Apply critical thinking skills regarding patient safety and experience, escalating concerns appropriately through the chain of command.
  • Actively participate in department or unit performance improvement activities and professional nursing development processes.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse in an Emergency Department setting.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Ability to work at various Emergency Department locations within Janesville and Beloit, Wisconsin.
