Provide high-risk perinatal care within a Level III Labor and Delivery unit encompassing labor beds, antepartum beds, postpartum beds, ORs, PACU, and triage bays
Manage laboring patients at a 1:1 ratio, antepartum patients at a 1:2–3 ratio, and postpartum couplets at a 1:3 ratio with CNA support
Participate in triage staffing alongside skilled RN colleagues each shift
Float to Postpartum as needed to support unit staffing requirements
Document all patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
Commit to weekend availability and work 3 of 5 designated holidays as required by the assignment
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
Current BLS (BCLS) and ACLS certifications required
Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring or Relias Fetal Monitoring certification required
Demonstrated competency in sterile vaginal exams (SVE) — hard stop requirement
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience in a facility performing 200 or more deliveries per year
Familiarity with high-risk perinatal populations and Level III perinatal care environments
Prior experience charting in EPIC
