Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Wausau, Wisconsin.

$500 CONTRACT COMPLETION BONUS
Opportunity:
RN - MedSurg
Job Details:
• 10-week contract with an ASAP start date
• 12-hour variable day and night shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Low census periods may result in working only 4 or 8 hours of a shift, with up to 36 hours of low census unbillable hours eligible per contract
• Nurse to patient ratio: 1:4 or 1:5 on days/evenings, 1:5 to 1:7 on nights
• Work in a fast-paced 40-bed post-surgical care unit providing care for pre and post-surgical adult and geriatric patients
• Unit averages 10-15 admissions per day with 90-95% occupancy during the week and an average length of stay of 2-3 days
• Must be able to multitask, prioritize patient care needs based on acuity, and work as part of a team
• Required certifications: WI RN License and BLS (AHA or ARC)
• Minimum 2+ years of Med Surg experience required with recent hospital experience
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Epic EMR charting experience required
• Equipment used: Epic EMR, Rovers for medication scanning, and Alaris pumps
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Any color scrubs permitted

This facility is a large inpatient hospital featuring a dedicated post-surgical care unit that supports patients along a continuum of pre and post-surgical care. The unit operates at high occupancy and handles a significant volume of daily admissions, making it a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The facility provides trauma level II services and is equipped with modern technology to support comprehensive patient care across multiple inpatient units.
