Job Description

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our team. The position primarily involves care within an Adult Surgical Unit, with some Pediatric patient beds available. Candidates should be prepared to float to other units as needed and work in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments following approved nursing techniques and policies, adhering to standards of care and state laws.
• Documents patient care according to established standards.
• Develops, initiates, and executes individualized patient care plans as prescribed by physicians, including patient and family education.
• Participates in performance improvement activities within the department or unit, contributing to shared governance initiatives.
• Provides clinical guidance and expertise to other units and departments to support the patient’s longitudinal care plan.
• Employs critical thinking to ensure patient safety and enhance patient experience, appropriately escalating concerns to the designated chain of command.

Holiday Coverage

Availability for holiday coverage is required for this position.

Experience Requirements

While less than one year of experience is acceptable, candidates are expected to demonstrate proficiency in nursing fundamentals.
