Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $1,843 per week in Augusta, GA

First-time travelers are accepted. Patient population includes adolescents to geriatrics. Staffing ratio is 1 nurse to 6 patients. The unit has a capacity of 38 beds with an average daily census of 33. The unit features remote telemetry with potential medical surgical diagnoses. Candidates must have experience with charting systems, specifically Epic. Travelers must be willing to float within the facility as needed. Weekends typically require working every other weekend unless specified otherwise. If scheduled for one major holiday during the assignment, travelers must be available to work it. Travelers are expected to comply fully to start on time. Medical and religious exemptions for flu vaccine are considered, but COVID-19 vaccine is not required. Compliance items must be completed promptly per guidelines. The unit provides interdisciplinary support including various therapy and service teams. General skills required include the use of rapid response or code teams, peripheral line care, and oxygen administration.
