Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required in the last 5 years.
License: Active RN license required.
Certifications: BLS required.
Must-Have:
Must be able to take heparin drips.
PCA experience.
Colostomy care and management.
Feeding tube care and management.
Blood product administration.
Central line care and management.
Peripheral line care and management.
Phlebotomy skills.
PICC line management.
IV starts.
Management of dysrhythmias.
O2 protocol management.
Non-invasive airway management.
Isolation precautions and PPE.
Experience with traumatic brain injury.
Experience with ortho trauma.
Skill in managing surgical drains and chest tubes.
Experience with nasal cannula, oral suctioning, and tracheostomy management.
Wound care experience.
Epic documentation experience required.
Description:
RTO after booking is not allowed.
Any call-offs or additional RTO may result in a cancellation.
Target ratios of 1:5-6.
Must be comfortable working these ratios.
Float to similar units and alternate care locations is required.
Weekend assignment will occur every other weekend.
Contract staff may be required to work during a catastrophic event or mass casualty.
The ability to manage severe injury to bones, joints, and soft tissue is essential.
Skills in managing traumatic brain injuries and spine injuries are needed.
Daily census on the unit is approximately 32 patients.
Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, and respiratory services.
Candidates must complete testing within 48 hours after signing.
Floating within or near the facility is expected.
References can be submitted later.
Pre-start modules are required and must be completed prior to starting.
Modules will be conducted online.
