We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Travel Registered Nurse for a Medical Surgical unit in Janesville, Wisconsin. This role primarily focuses on providing comprehensive nursing care to adult surgical patients, with occasional care for pediatric patients.
The successful candidate will join a dynamic healthcare team, utilizing the nursing process to deliver high-quality patient care, collaborate with interdisciplinary colleagues, and contribute to performance improvement initiatives. This position requires adaptability and the ability to float to other units as needed to support patient care across the facility.
Key Responsibilities
Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, hospital policies and procedures, standards of care, and state practice acts.
Document patient care activities, observations, and outcomes accurately and thoroughly according to established standards.
Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient plans of care as prescribed by physicians and/or hospital policy, including comprehensive patient and family education.
Participate actively in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance initiatives.
Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments to support the patient’s longitudinal plan of care.
Apply critical thinking skills to ensure patient safety and enhance the patient experience, escalating concerns appropriately through the chain of command.
Required Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
Prior experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting.

Licensing Requirements
Current and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Wisconsin.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
