The environment includes an average daily census of 71 patients. Surgical needs may include necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) and congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH). Support staff includes Nursing Assistants with a 1:20 patient ratio and two Charge RNs each shift. Experience with patient types ranging from 23-week to term infants is essential. Floating to General Pediatrics, PICU, Adolescent Pediatrics, and Pediatric Hem/Onc may be required. The electronic medical record system used is EPIC. Additional department-specific equipment requirements will be provided upon orientation.
