Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1+ years in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) License: Active Texas or Compact RN license Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) - Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Must-Have: - 1+ years minimum of current Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience - Must disclose any previous employment history in profile Description: The RN is a licensed professional who coordinates patient care delivery. This role focuses on a specific patient population and health conditions. Using the nursing process, the RN assesses the patient and identifies nursing diagnoses. The RN develops and implements an individualized plan of care. The role involves evaluating the patient's response to care. The RN utilizes knowledge of patient needs and the healthcare environment. The goal is to assist patients in transitioning through healthcare encounters. The RN delegates interventions to healthcare personnel based on regulations. Each patient's condition informs the delegation process. This requires knowledge of the competencies of the employees involved.
