Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Neuro Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 (7pm - 7:30am) Experience: Minimum three (3) years of relevant nursing experience. License: Nursing license in good standing. Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association). Must-Have: Nursing, Patient Care, Documentation, Patient Assessment, Care Planning. Description: The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility for a group of patients for a designated time frame. The RN provides care to these patients using the nursing process, nursing trends, technology, and available resources within the philosophy of the institution. Performs all responsibilities and duties required by the unit as specific to the scope of service. Implements procedures and theories related to the specific area of practice. Maintains up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided. Completes initial assessment upon patient admission and develops an appropriate plan of care based on patient and family needs. Implements the plan of care, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures. Modifies the plan of care based upon continuous evaluation. Takes responsibility for patient and employee safety by reporting and/or correcting safety hazards and incidents. Communicates with others directly and in private to resolve issues when necessary. Offers constructive feedback to assist in the professional development of peers. Confers with colleagues to expand the knowledge base. Identifies own learning needs and takes initiative to find appropriate solutions. Fulfills all requirements of departmental competencies.
