Description

Must-Have: Med/Surg experience, unit will not accept first-time travelers
Description:
Cross posting after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite.
Any call-offs or additional requests for time off may result in cancellations.
Unit cares primarily for stroke patients and possible neurosurgery patients.
Additional diagnoses include epilepsy, traumatic, and non-traumatic subdural hematomas.
Unit typically has a 42 daily census and cares for various neuro diagnoses.
Frequent floating may be required to other Medical-Surgical/Telemetry areas.
Travelers must work every other weekend with requirements to make up any missed shifts.
Unit has a 4-bed epilepsy monitoring unit with opportunities for specialized training.
Patient ratios are 1:6.
Travelers must pass EKG testing prior to starting.
The unit utilizes electronic systems for charting and medication management.
Work requires compliance with floating policies within the facility.
Must have the ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage related medical conditions.
Client team includes various interdisciplinary supports including physical and respiratory therapy.
Expectations include adherence to scheduling requirements and floating as necessary.
All requested time off must be pre-approved, with certain restrictions.
Candidates must be open to floating within other areas of the facility.
Module training will be completed prior to the start of the contract.
