Travel Registered Nurse - Med-Surg/Neurology
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse to join our team in Janesville, Wisconsin. This role primarily supports Med-Surg Orthopedic and Neurology patient populations, providing comprehensive nursing care within a dynamic hospital environment.
The successful candidate will utilize the nursing process to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary team. This position requires flexibility, including the potential to float to other units as needed to support patient care demands.
Key Responsibilities
Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, hospital policies, procedures, standards of care, and state practice acts.
Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient plans of care, including patient and family education, as prescribed by physicians and/or hospital policy.
Document all aspects of patient care accurately and thoroughly, adhering to established standards of care.
Participate actively in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance initiatives.
Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments to support the patient’s longitudinal plan of care.
Apply critical thinking skills to ensure patient safety and enhance the patient experience, escalating concerns appropriately through the chain of command.
Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to float to other units as required by patient census and staffing needs.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of one year of recent experience as a Registered Nurse.
Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Education verification is required.
Demonstrated experience in Med-Surg, Orthopedic, or Neurology specialties.

Shift Details
Shift Type: Nights (NOC)
Hours: 12-hour shifts, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM
Days per Week: 3
Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend required.
Holiday Rotation: Required.
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: 2026-07-16
Licensing Requirements
Current and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Wisconsin.
Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
