We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Janesville, Wisconsin. This role is based in a dynamic Med-Surg unit, specializing in Orthopedic and Neurology patient populations. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive nursing care, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
The daily flow involves utilizing the nursing process to develop and execute individualized patient care plans, administer medications, and document care meticulously. This position requires adaptability, as floating to other units may be necessary to support patient care needs across the facility.
Key Responsibilities
Utilize the nursing process for comprehensive patient care and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with established policies, procedures, and state practice acts.
Document patient care accurately and thoroughly, adhering to facility standards.
Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient care plans based on physician orders and hospital policies, including patient and family education.
Participate in department or unit performance improvement initiatives.
Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments to support the patient’s longitudinal plan of care.
Apply critical thinking skills to ensure patient safety and enhance the patient experience, escalating concerns appropriately.
