Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in Santa Rosa, California. This position involves providing specialized perioperative nursing care within a busy acute care hospital. The role requires collaboration with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes during various procedures. The schedule includes 12-hour shifts, primarily during the day, with an expected start date of 09/21/2026.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: California license in hand, 3 years of OR experience, certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic experience due to trauma status, minimum 2 years of experience, valid CA license in hand, and ability to work hours as scheduled.
- Certifications: BLS
- Skills: Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair, Abdominal/Vaginal hysterectomy, Amputations, Arthroscopy, Carotid artery stenting, Craniotomy, Da Vinci Xi Surgical System, Laparoscopic assisted procedures, Total joint replacement, Trauma, and other complex surgical procedures pertinent to the operating room setting.
- Patient Ratios: Days: 10 RN / 6 ST; Nights: 1 RN / 1 ST; Weekends: 3 RN / 2 ST (if applicable)
- Additional Information: Night shifts may be required as needed. Candidates must be willing to work 2 out of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year. Travelers may be expected to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals. References covering 1 year (6 months for CNAs) within the past 3 years are required.
