Job Description

We are seeking experienced nurses to join our team. Candidates must possess a current WI License, NIHSS certification, and CPR/BLS certification. Verification of education is required.

Travel RNs may be required to float to other units. This position entails working every other weekend and holiday, with 12-hour shifts during the day (6:30 AM to 7:00 PM).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide patient care.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, and standards of care.
• Document patient care according to established standards.
• Develop, initiate, and execute a patient plan of care as prescribed by the physician and hospital policy, including instruction for patients and their families.
• Participate in performance improvement activities within the department or unit, which may include shared governance.
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units or departments to support the patients' long-term care plans.
• Employ critical thinking regarding patient safety and experience, appropriately escalating issues through the chain of command as necessary.

Shift Information

Shifts will be during the day from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM. Holiday coverage is required.

Minimum Years of Experience

Less than 1 year of experience is acceptable.

Certifications / Requirements

• BLS/BCLS certification is required.
