TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Manchester, New Hampshire, 03103!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Stepdown Cardiac Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar setting License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Strong background in PCU - EPIC experience preferred - Weekend availability Description: No Thanksgiving requests for time off will be accepted. Position contracted to care for inpatient/CICU level holds. The ideal candidate will have a strong PCU background within the last year. ED experience is preferred but not required. First-timers are accepted if they possess EPIC experience and have a minimum of 2 years of experience. No first timers are accepted with only 1 year of experience. Candidates will be floated to similar units as needed. They will help with patient sitting and will not take patients outside of their clinical assignment. Common patient diagnoses include: - Chest Pain - Syncope - Heart Failure - Sepsis - Overdose - GI Bleed - COPD - Pneumonia The nurse will see medical, surgical, trauma, oncology, and orthopedic cases as overflow as well. They will assist with post-catheterization cases and only handle patients post-stent insertion, not CABG. Special procedures performed include ICD and pacemaker insertions, as well as cardioversions. The unit involves managing and titrating drips, including Lasix, Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitroglycerin, Integrillin, Labatolol, Dopamine, and Dobutamine. Special equipment used includes Bipap, Cpap, Vapotherm, Alaris pumps, and Phillips monitoring systems. Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork are essential. Candidates are expected to work in collaboration within an interdisciplinary support environment. The focus will be on the provision of high-quality, patient-centered care.
