Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years of recent RN experience in a progressive care environment preferred License: Ohio RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Progressive care / Stepdown / PCU experience preferred - First-time travelers accepted Description: This unit cares for adult and geriatric patients with general chronic medical conditions. Travelers should be comfortable working in a progressive care environment. Floating within the organization may be required as needed. Candidates must have the ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage dysrhythmias. Experience with peripheral line care and oxygen administration is essential. Knowledge of isolation precautions and the use of rapid response/code teams is necessary. Understanding of the medication systems in use is beneficial. Staffing and scheduling require flexibility, including weekend shifts and floating to different units. Two professional references are required, with at least one from a formal leadership position. Candidates must be responsive during the credentialing process. Education must be from an accredited nursing program.
