Key Responsibilities As a Psychiatric Registered Nurse, you will:
Provide direct nursing care to patients with psychiatric and behavioral health conditions
Conduct mental health assessments and monitor patient status and behavior
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to develop care plans
De-escalate crisis situations using therapeutic communication and safety protocols
Educate patients and families on mental health conditions and coping strategies
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and observations
Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
Active RN license in the state of Indiana (or eligibility to obtain)
Previous psychiatric or behavioral health experience preferred
Strong communication, de-escalation, and critical thinking skills
