Contract | Full-Time (40 hours/week) | Onsite | Days | Monday–Friday with Weekend Rotation
Key Responsibilities
Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs and physician direction.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to address all barriers to discharge, including equipment trialing and ordering, patient and family training, home exercise program issuance, and planning for continuing services.
Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner, including daily notes, goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, discharge documentation, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines.
Effectively manage individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions based on patient care needs, demonstrating flexibility in caseload management and coverage.
Participate in student programs as assigned, providing appropriate supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations.
Adhere to the discipline-specific State Practice Act and all regulatory agency requirements, maintaining professional licensure in good standing and completing all state-mandated continuing education requirements.
Required Qualifications
Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist licensure in the state of Florida.
Ability to perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop goal-directed treatment plans focused on functional outcomes and timely discharge.
Proficiency in medical record documentation in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines.
Knowledge of and adherence to discipline-specific professional codes of conduct and ethical standards.
Ability to work within an interdisciplinary team environment and manage a varied caseload.
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience in an inpatient rehabilitation or acute care hospital setting.
Prior experience supervising or mentoring Physical Therapy students.
Active involvement in professional organizations, continuing education, or community advocacy efforts.
