Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for laboring and postpartum patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, perform assessments, administer medications as ordered, and respond promptly to changing conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans; evaluate outcomes and adjust care as needed.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with obstetricians, anesthesiology, and other disciplines.
- Maintain precise documentation in the electronic health record; participate in patient and family education and discharge planning.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ASN, BSN, or equivalent).
- Obstetric/Labor and Delivery nursing experience preferred; travel/temporary assignment experience is a plus.
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and participate in a 36-hour weekly schedule for the duration of the assignment.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, teamwork, and independent judgment.
