    Description

    Opportunity:

    CVOR CST

    Job Details:

    • 4x10 hour shifts scheduled from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM with variable days
    • Cardiac call required
    • Float required to ambulatory sister site as needed
    • Work in integrated OR when CVOR cases are not scheduled
    • Perform scrub role across surgical specialties with proficiency in sterile technique
    • Ensure OR environment is safe and equipment is cleaned and functioning appropriately
    • Apply knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and implementation tools to safely facilitate invasive and/or diagnostic procedures
    • Perform effective turnover of the operating room between cases within established timelines
    • Respond appropriately in emergency and code situations
    • Carry, lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds intermittently throughout the day
    • Stand on concrete, vinyl, or carpeting up to 10 hours per day
    • Utilize all patient care equipment within the work area
    • May be exposed to body fluids, tissue, and infectious processes
    • Epic charting system experience required
    • Minimum 2 years of experience required; Level 1 trauma experience preferred
    • Required certifications: NBSTSA CST, BLS (AHA - traditional, RQI not accepted)
    • Successful completion of a Surgical Technology program required
    • Score of 85% or higher on Relias exams required

The OR department is fully integrated, supporting both specialty and general surgical cases. The facility provides robust interdisciplinary support including interpretation services, radiology, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services, ensuring a well-rounded and collaborative care environment.
