Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN-Telemetry for a night shift position requiring CA licensure, Epic experience, and prior travel experience.

Details

• Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Night shift (3x12 hours), 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend coverage required
• Floating required
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Cares for patients requiring cardiac telemetry, cardiac monitoring, and emergency response

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required in-hand at time of consideration (EMSA not accepted)
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required in-hand
• CPI Blue Card from the Crisis Prevention Institute required for Float Pool nurses (Online or MAB CPI not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Minimum 1 year of charge nurse experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
• Minimum 1 year of full-time equivalent experience in telemetry within the past 2 years required for specialty consideration
• Epic EMR experience required and must be documented in work history
• Two supervisor references required
• Prior travel nursing experience required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of rapid response/code teams, IV therapy, and central/PICC line management
• Skills may include respiratory care (BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, ABG interpretation), wound care, cardiovascular post-procedure care, and management of various drips without titration
• Care may extend to post-surgical, oncology, orthopedic, and neurological patients
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travelers
• Previous staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year to be considered for a travel assignment
• No requested time off (RTO) permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment, with a maximum of 7 days RTO preferred per 13-week contract
• Screenshot confirmation of RTO request required at time of application
• Temporary or similar license status must be clearly noted if applicable
