    Job Description

    Evergreen Innovation Group,part of the DPR Family of Companies, is seeking an experiencedTraveling Electrical Superintendentwith 5 or more years of commercial electrical construction experience. This individual willbe responsible forthe day-to-day scheduling and field coordination of all aspects of the electrical scopes of assigned project(s).

    The Electrical Superintendent will work as part of the field leadership team and willbe responsible forthe planning and execution of system start-up, test, and commissioning. Along with the project teams, they will work closely with Project Executives and Regional Leadership. Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to the following:

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    • Foster the development of Foreman to grow into future Superintendents.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Traveltoandfromthe office as well as assigned job site(s). 

    • Support both pre-construction and the project teamsinreviewingtrade partners' proposals, schedules, andlogistics.

    • Manage the installation of the following systems: electrical, HVAC, automation, plumbing, process piping, low voltage systems, fire/life safety, and fire protection design/construction coordination (validated and non-validated systems).

    • Continual walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, and heavy lifting and carrying.  

    • Participate in review of Electrical related shop drawings and submittals.

    • Assist in the development of full commissioning plans for all Electrical systems that identify and define the following: all test requirements, required inspections, factory start-up of major equipment, factory acceptance testing, project and vendor documentation requirements, and integrated test plans demonstrating full system operations.

    • Responsible for onsiteconstruction support for electrical systems and will oversee the start-up, balancing,commissioningand validation certification of these systems, including ownertraining and project closeout.

    • Develop and oversee project specific electrical quality and safety programs, including participating in safety cause mapping for post electrical safety events.

    • Createconstruction schedules, perform regular updates,monitorlogic relationships, and insert new activities and impacts.

    • Coordinate jobsitelogisticsandmaintainrelationships with neighboring occupants.

    • Negotiate with authorities havingjurisdictionto achieve project occupancy milestones.

    • Lead EIG/DPR’s injury-free environment safety program.

    • Coordinate subcontractor work scopes, scheduling, and resource-loading inconjunction with DPR’s self-perform work crews.

    • Professionally represent EIG field operations asprimaryinterface with owner and design teams. 

    Required Skills and Abilities   

    We are looking for a flexible, detail-oriented team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks, produce quality work, andconsistently meet deadlines. The successful candidate willpossess:

    • Excellent listening, communication, andconflict resolution skills.

    • Comfortable in an open and collaborative working environment.

    • Ability to create and support a positive team environment.

    • Able to work with multiple stakeholders toidentifyand resolve complex issues as it relates to electrical design andconstruction.

    • Ability to run complex meetings with multiple attendees, issue minutes promptly, and follow up with participants for deliverables.

    • Strong grasp of electricalconstructionconcepts and applicable codes.

    • Good understanding of fire/life safety and fire sprinkler systems and the integration of same with mechanical, electrical, and buildingsystems.

    • Good understanding of the test and balance process and requirements.

    • Good understanding of building automation systems and sequences as it relates to MEP.

    • Good understanding of Electrical related safety regulations.

    • Proficiencyin the use of current virtual design andconstruction software is preferred.

    • Proficient computer skills in the Microsoft Office suite and Bluebeam.

    • Ability tocontribute to a culture of safety in aconstruction environment.

    • A strong work ethic and a “can-do” attitude.

    Education and Experience  

    • 5+ years of experience asanElectrical Superintendent, preferably within DPR’s core markets.

    • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred but not.

    • Experience with CPM scheduling and the lean pull planning processes. Knowledge and use of Primavera P6 is preferred.
