Overview

Position Overview

Provides comprehensive administrative and operational support to one or more financial advisors. This role is non‑licensed and does not engage in securities recommendations, investment advice, or licensed activities. The assistant helps ensure efficient daily operations, exceptional client service, and compliance with bank and broker‑dealer policies by managing administrative tasks, client documentation, scheduling, and internal coordination.

What You'll Do

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide day‑to‑day administrative support to assigned financial advisor.
  • Manage calendars, schedule client appointments, and coordinate meetings (in‑person, phone, and virtual).
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical files in accordance with record retention requirements.
  • Assist with office workflow coordination and follow‑up on outstanding items.
  • Compliance Training: Participate in all required compliance training, including Bank Secrecy Act/anti-money laundering training, as well as internal and external training programs, online training, meetings, and seminars/conferences, etc.

Requirements For Success

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of administrative or client support experience, preferably in a financial services, banking, or professional office environment.

Required Skills:

  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams).
  • Professional demeanor and strong client service orientation.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience supporting financial advisors or working in banking/financial services.
  • Familiarity with CRM or financial services platforms.
  • Experience with document processing and workflow tracking systems.

Conditions of Employment

Working Environment and Physical Demands

This position requires working in the Waynesville UC branch, with remote work as pre-approved by advisor. This is a 40 hour work week.

This job operates in a professional office environment.

The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, and printers.

Physical requirements are primarily sedentary, with occasional standing, walking, and typing.
