You will source and engage candidates, manage the interview process from requisition assignment through offer acceptance, and provide an excellent experience to both candidates and hiring managers. Working under clear guidelines and close supervision, you will apply established recruiting practices while developing your expertise in talent acquisition.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, screen, and interview candidates for a high volume of requisitions, ensuring timely and consistent communication throughout the process.
  • Engage closely with hiring managers from the moment a requisition is opened through offer acceptance, providing regular updates and acting as a trusted recruiting partner.
  • Maintain strong candidate relationships by keeping candidates informed, answering questions, and ensuring a positive experience at every stage of the interview process.
  • Extend job offers to selected candidates and manage the offer process, including tracking offer decisions and acceptance rates.
  • Conduct reference checks and other pre-employment verifications as required, following established procedures and guidelines.
  • Support onboarding activities by conducting or coordinating orientation for new employees and ensuring all required documentation is completed.
  • Perform exit interviews and process changes in employee status in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Manage a high-volume requisition load, typically handling 100200 requisitions at a time, and maintain control of candidate pipelines so roles can be filled quickly when openings arise.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators such as candidates per requisition, offer acceptance rates, communication service levels, and operational inputs.
  • Use structured tracking mechanisms to monitor requisition activity, ensuring clarity on who is taking action on each role and where candidates are in the process.
  • Follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform recruiting activities, escalating issues to a supervisor or manager as needed.
  • Collaborate with the broader recruiting and talent acquisition team to support peak hiring cycles for university-related hiring programs.

Essential Skills

  • 13 years of experience in a high-volume sourcing or recruiting environment.
  • Experience managing a large requisition load and working in a fast-paced, high-volume recruiting setting.
  • Proficiency in candidate sourcing, including identifying and engaging specialized and niche talent profiles.
  • Experience in candidate management, including scheduling, communication, and guiding candidates through the hiring process.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with and engage hiring managers throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
  • Talent acquisition, recruiting coordination, or related administrative roles preferred.
  • High-volume administrative experience supporting processes such as offers, transfers, and status changes.
  • Strong attention to detail in handling candidate data, documentation, and tracking mechanisms.
  • Ability to follow established processes, instructions, and guidelines while working under immediate supervision.
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in recruiting and human resources.
  • Comfort working in a high-volume, fast-paced, customer-obsessed environment with a strong focus on service quality.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Experience as a recruiting coordinator or in a similar talent acquisition support role.
  • Familiarity with university or campus recruiting programs and peak hiring cycles.
  • Experience tracking and reporting on recruiting metrics such as offers per month, offer acceptance rates, and candidates per requisition.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain organization across a large number of requisitions.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with candidates and hiring managers across different locations.
