The Role
- Full-time, hospital-based position serving as a working manager and medical leader
- Lead, mentor, and develop associate veterinarians; foster an inclusive, collaborative team culture with technicians and client service staff
- Uphold medical quality standards through case review, medical record audits, and patient safety initiatives
- Provide clinical care, including preventive medicine, dentistry, and routine soft-tissue surgery, with a focus on client communication and follow-up
- Drive hospital performance and operational goals through partnership with hospital management
- Oversee onboarding and coaching for newly hired veterinarians to build clinical, surgical, and dental competence
- Ensure regulatory compliance, including controlled substance management and radiation safety, and maintain accurate pharmacy and medical equipment controls
- Support recruiting efforts and provide an excellent experience to candidates and student externs
- Address client concerns professionally and promptly to strengthen trust and retention
- Schedule may include some evenings or weekends consistent with a retail-based clinical setting

Requirements
- DVM or VMD degree from an accredited institution
- Active license (or eligibility) to practice veterinary medicine in North Carolina
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- DEA registration (or eligibility) for controlled substances
- Demonstrated proficiency in general practice, dentistry, and routine soft-tissue surgery
- Experience leading teams or strong interest in clinical leadership and mentorship
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable practicing in a client-forward, retail-embedded clinic environment
