Our client, a privately held, family-led investment and operating platform is seeking a Head of Human Resources to build and lead the HR function across a diverse and growing portfolio of businesses. With operations spanning construction, real estate development, and related services, the organization is entering a critical phase of growth and evolution as it transitions toward a more institutional operating model.

This is a high-impact leadership role offering the opportunity to shape the people strategy of a multi-entity platform, partner directly with executive leadership, and build the infrastructure necessary to support continued scale.

Position Overview

The Head of Human Resources reporting to the CEO will serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership, responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive HR strategy across multiple operating companies. This individual will lead efforts to professionalize and scale HR capabilities, while preserving and strengthening a values-driven, entrepreneurial culture.

The role offers significant visibility and influence, with responsibility for both strategic initiatives and hands-on execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a unified HR strategy aligned with organizational growth objectives
  • Build and scale core HR functions, including talent acquisition, performance management, compensation, benefits, and employee relations
  • Lead organizational design efforts to support a multi-entity, growth-oriented platform
  • Establish and enhance leadership development and succession planning initiatives
  • Partner with executive leadership on culture, engagement, and change management efforts
  • Evaluate and implement HR systems, processes, and policies to support a more institutional framework
  • Support M&A activity and integration efforts, as applicable
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders across all business units

Candidate Profile

  • Proven HR leadership experience within a multi-entity, high-growth environment (e.g., construction, real estate, industrials, or related sectors)
  • Demonstrated success building or transforming HR functions in a scaling organization
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to operate strategically and tactically
  • Experience working in founder-led or family-owned businesses is highly valued
  • Track record of driving organizational change and implementing scalable processes and infrastructure
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
