Job Title: Warehouse Operator
Job Description - Include:
Daily Job Duties, Required Certifications (if necessary) & Preferred Years of Experience
Packaging, filing, labeling, and storage of drummed chemicals or chemical blends.
Loads and unloads trucks.
Operates a forklift.
Handling and storage of factory packaged products in bags, drums, pails, super sacks, etc.
Loading or unloading of bulk, drummed, or bagged material.
Secure dual sign off before transferring any product form one vessel to another.
Participate in inventory requirements, counting reconciliation, and recounts as required.
Keep work areas clean and orderly which includes but is not limited to picking up trash, sweeping, mopping, painting, emptying trash, etc.
Follow all operating procedures, work instructions and is familiar with the quality system manual.
Reports all non-conformances as they occur using proper forms.
Attends and actively participates in all safety and quality meetings as required.
Performs all duties in a safe manner and follow all rules and regulations.
Completes all training as required in the Regulatory/Compliance Training Program.
Properly use materials such as labels, placards, stenciling and paint.
Properly cares for and uses all equipment such as forklifts, drum handling equipment, pumps, hoses, etc.
Perform and complete other tasks as assigned by manager.
Position Qualifications and Physical Demands
Effective oral and written communication skills. Able to read and write in English.
Mechanically inclined.
Ability to operate plant equipment.
Must be detailed oriented and have a safety-first approach to all tasks.
Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment. Plant environment and exposure to chemicals.
Computer and math (basics) literate.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk, hear, or smell. The employee is frequently required to walk and stand. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Working hours are as assigned by Supervisor. Surroundings and Hazards are: Environment is outside in open areas to the weather and inside warehouses. Certain hazardous chemicals are present, and all safety precautions shall be followed when working in these areas.
Must be able to wear all proper PPE such as safety glasses/goggles, Tyvek suits, steel toed boots, safety gloves etc.
Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen, fit for duty, e-verify, and background check.
Work Environment
Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment. Exposure to very hot or very cold climates while working outside.
Plant environment and exposure to chemicals.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED.
1%2B year of working in an industrial or distribution environment.
