Delgado Community College needs to fill a Warehouse Technician position with a dedicated and detail oriented individual to support the Property Control department with Shipping and Receiving processes.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:

• Performs basic operation support tasks in Shipping & Receiving warehouse, including inventory handling, clerical, custodial and light mobile equipment operation tasks (frequent forklift use, hand trucks, pallet jacks and driving a fleet vehicle).

• Receives packages using tracking software, unloads incoming stock/equipment. Assists in tagging new assets in accordance with established property control procedures.

• Delivers items and copy paper as needed campus wide. Ability to lift 50 plus pounds frequently.

• Maintains the cleanliness of the warehouse by sweeping, wiping, and taking out trash. Become familiar with safety procedures for warehouse operations.

Position-Specific Details:

Appointment Type: Probational - This position may be filled as a Probationary Appointment requiring 12-24 months on probation.
