Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Weekend Shifts Supporting Adults with Intellectual Disabilities

Are you a Certified Nursing Assistant with a passion for helping others-and looking for a meaningful role on weekends? We're hiring CNAs to join our team as Direct Support Professionals, providing person-centered care to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including individuals on the autism spectrum, those with Down Syndrome, and those living with dementia.

Weekend Shift Options:

• Saturday: 12am–12pm or 12pm–12am
• Sunday: 12am–12pm or 12pm–12am
• Choose a single day or work both days for a full weekend schedule. Option to stay on site all weekend if preferred.

What You'll Do:
You'll make a real impact by supporting daily living activities, ensuring client safety, and promoting independence. Duties include:

• Assisting with personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming)
• Meal preparation and light housekeeping
• Medication reminders and prescription pickups
• Observing and reporting changes in health or behavior
• Supporting clients with mobility, exercise, and physical activity
• Providing companionship and facilitating social engagement
• Accompanying clients to appointments (reliable transportation required, may include Marta L-van)
• Accurate documentation and communication with families and staff

What We're Looking For:

• Upbeat, reliable, and detail-oriented approach
• At least two years of verifiable caregiving experience
• Previous experience with adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities
• Ability to lift 60 lbs, assist with mobility, and perform physical tasks
• Strong communication skills and comfort with documentation and data entry (typing at least 35 wpm)
• Familiarity with infection control protocols and basic First Aid/CPR
• Self-starter who can both work independently and support teammates

Requirements:

• Age 21 or older
• Current CNA certification or ability to pass the PSA test
• 40 hours of training (20 hours prior to starting, 20 hours within the first six months)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Clean background check (DBHDD and DCH fingerprinting required)
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
• Valid Georgia driver's license and reliable transportation
• Up-to-date physical exam and TB test or chest X-ray
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
