Job Summary:
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Weekend Teacher/Assistant Manager to help supervise young learners during weekend hours with front desk management, student instruction, and evaluation administration. This vital role combines classroom instruction with leadership responsibilities, ensuring a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for education, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage scheduling/parent communication. This position offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on student development while honing your leadership and teaching skills.
Duties:
- Administer evaluations.
- Student instruction.
- Communication with parents regarding scheduling.
- Manage staff on weekend while maintaining a clean, organized environment.
Requirements:
- Reliability.
- License/form of transportation.
- Knowledge of instruction, classroom management, and behavior management techniques.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration.
- Teaching certification.
- Bachelor's Degree.
Hours are flexible!!!!
Saturdays- 9am-5pm (flexible!!)
Sundays- 10am-6pm (flexible!!)

The Huntington Learning Center in La Grange Park is proud to serve the communities of La Grange, La Grange Park, Western Springs, Brookfield, Riverside, Hinsdale, Oak Brook, Lyons, Bellwood, Westchester and parts of Chicago. We have a team of capable, caring professionals that work with students from Kindergarten through high school.

We are proud to provide skill work to students in reading, writing, math, phonics and study skills. We are also home to the premier ACT/SAT program in the area. Our ACT preparation has seen our students average a 4.5 point increase on the exam. 4.5 points! We also provide subject specific tutoring in math and science.
All tutoring is done by certified teachers.
We are proud to be active members of our communities as we are involved with both the La Grange Park Chamber and and West Suburban Chamber of Commerce. We reserve our greatest pride for the hundreds of students that we have helped in the 20 plus years that we have been open.
At the 2018 National Convention, Huntington honored outstanding centers with awards for center growth, student enrollment, customer service and other achievements. Garry Fairfield of the La Grange, IL center was awarded the Commitment to Student Success Award and Executive Chairman’s Club Award for superior customer service.
