The
Senior Pantry Coordinator is a hands-on lead role responsible for managing the daily operations of the on-site pantry while supervising a team of three coordinators. This position requires active participation in pantry operations, including stocking, organizing, inventory management, and customer service, while ensuring team efficiency, quality standards, and operational excellence.
Key ResponsibilitiesPantry Operations- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pantry, market, and backstock areas.
- Stock, replenish, and rotate pantry inventory to ensure freshness and compliance with expiration dates.
- Maintain knowledge of available menu items and product assortments.
- Order, receive, and organize pantry supplies.
- Monitor inventory levels and notify management when supplies are low.
- Set up and replenish self-service food and beverage stations.
- Ensure all pantry equipment is clean, maintained, and functioning properly.
- Follow and enforce food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
- Participate in food preparation and cleaning duties.
- Properly use cleaning chemicals and equipment according to safety guidelines.
Customer Service & Event Support- Provide exceptional customer service to employees and guests.
- Address pantry-related inquiries and service requests professionally.
- Support special events and catering requests as needed.
Team Leadership & Supervision- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of a three-person pantry team.
- Delegate tasks and ensure responsibilities are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Serve as the first point of escalation for operational issues and team questions.
- Monitor employee training, performance, and development.
- Create work schedules and assign daily responsibilities.
- Cross-train staff to ensure operational coverage and flexibility.
- Establish and track team deadlines and performance expectations.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and ongoing support to team members.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality.
- Ensure consistent and effective support is delivered by the team.
Additional Duties- Perform other duties and assignments as required.
Required QualificationsEducation- High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience- Prior food and beverage experience required.
- Previous lead, senior, or supervisory experience preferred.
Skills & Competencies- Strong customer service orientation and professional demeanor.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to balance hands-on operational duties with team oversight responsibilities.
