Job Opportunities Across Indiana

As you might expect, agriculture is a big deal in Indiana. Due to its vast, wide-open farmlands, Indiana has a strong agricultural industry that supports thousands of jobs in farming and food production. The state’s top commodities include corn, soybeans, poultry, eggs, and dairy.

But there’s more to the Hoosier State's economy than its role as “American’s breadbasket.” Indiana is home to the second-largest automotive manufacturing industry in the country—about 1.3 million cars and trucks get produced here each year.

With roughly 9,000 manufacturing operations here, Indiana’s automotive industry supports 116,000 production jobs. Indiana’s aerospace and aviation industry supports thousands of engineering jobs, and it’s also among the top five states for life science jobs.
