Job Opportunities Across Michigan

The state of Michigan may initially call to mind the legendary history of the American automobile industry when the Big Three firms of General Motors, Chrysler, and Ford were all based in Motor City. Of course, there’s Motown too for all the devoted music lovers out there. But that’s all focused on Detroit, and as locals know—Michigan is immensely vaster and much more multihued than its most famous city.

Back in the day, Michigan workers built railway cars and then road-raging engines that are the basis for any U.S.-made vehicle. After all, this state is the birthplace of the factory assembly line. And the manufacturing industry here is still going strong. Held in top regard as a public higher-ed/research/college-sport institution, the University of Michigan goes back to 1817, and it laid the foundation for a sprawling education field.

There’s been lots of growth in the tech sector as well, with software development easily coalescing with the state’s ingrained maker-mindset. And yes—as with mostly everywhere else—the healthcare dynamic keeps the whole shebang running.
