Processes Freedom of Information Act/Privacy Act requests; Organizes, bookmarks, and assigns competed investigations; Serves as the primary point of contact for any outside agency including Federal, state and local enforcement requesting a background investigation previously completed by ATF; Documents receipt of prior background investigations received from other agencies; Updates various databases as necessary; Scans and copies personnel security records; Assigns cases to Specialists in multiple databases; Completes in-house file requests; Prepares Background Investigation Requests sent via OPM and Verifications; Completes HR Suitability referral packages; Updates multiple databases; Maintains Excel Spreadsheets; Submits file requests to Federal Records Center; Verifies accurate data in multiple databases; and. The salary offered will depend on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, education, geographic location, internal equity, business needs, and other factors permitted by law.
