Your day-to-day may include: + Serve as the Project Manager on assigned third-party tax software implementations (Vertex, Avalara, Sovos, Thomson Reuters, ADP, Billsoft) and custom software development projects + Manage assigned system integration projects that involve major ERP and billing systems, such as SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, etc + Requirements analysis and design for indirect tax software implementations + Manage programming for custom system interfaces and modification of preexisting interfaces + Manage testing and support of assigned system go-live projects + Develop and deliver key project documentation including requirements documents, design documents, and test plans + Help develop and lead staff to enable them to perform core project activities + Participating in Sales meetings and Proposal Development meetings + Network and develop key relationships both within Grant Thornton and externally + Other duties as assigned You have the following technical skills and qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in related technical field + Must have one of the below credentials: + Project Management Professional, Six Sigma, Lean or equivalent certification + Master's degree in accounting, Tax Business Administration, Finance or Information Systems Tax + Certified Member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation + Equivalent accounting certification or law license in home country (e.g., Chartered Accountant) + Five years of experience with SAP/Oracle functional and/or technical experience + Two years of Oracle EBS/ERP Cloud/SAP ABAP Design and Development experience + Deep technical understanding of SAP or Oracle. This includes understanding the customization path in the solutions, the table structures, and the core functional Order-to-Cash and Procure-to-Pay streams + SAP Namespace development a plus + Experience writing documentation for ERP implementations + Experience managing and developing team members for these types of implementations + Experience in public accounting is a plus + Strong computer skills required + Excellent verbal and written communication skills + Ability to travel as needed + The base salary range for this position in the firm's Chicago, IL office only is between between $136,000 and $204,000.
